We created this channel in 2015 to host at the time a few short or time lapse videos, for providing to our students reminders of the training courses they physically attended in our studio, at Koubi Design, in the UK.
Since then we had a lot of demands from youtube viewers to give some explanations about the techniques and materials used in some of these videos. We also received many emails asking if we would offer online courses.
We have now launched a new website dedicated to online tutorials and training courses where you can learn everything about polished plaster, microcement, liquid metals and many recipes and techniques to create bespoke mineral finishes :

Last time I checked renderers and plasterers don't work behind a counter. Why is your thumbnail of you putting on material and then you spend 90% of your video not doing that? Ridiculous.
Hi Roy. This is "only" the theoretical part of the online course with a lot of in-depth explanations. The rest of the video (which can be seen at www.masterklassesonline.com ) is the practical aspect with more than 3 hrs of hands-on and in-situ application finishes. You can see at the end of this "teaser' video what finishes will be shown.
Good day. I wanted to know if microcement can be applied outside in the Tropics. I wanted to know if i could make a plywood roof and coat it in microcent. Thanks for your time.

please do durability testing, that is the number 1 reason I'm weary of this. Like just hit it, or try to bend it, just to see how it holds up. Also dropping various objects on it.

What kind of stucco did you use here? I have bought Berlina from firmolux and I am not getting the shiny marble look like you have achieved. I would like the stucco you are using.

Looks to be a ready made stucco and id imagine they will be putting on in layers spaced a few hours apart looks to be one colour with first layer being applied lightly to appear lighter
We used our own stucco lustro. But now there are different brands selling good quality and very shiny ones like Beri Calce and Coverit

Hi. Is microcement water safe and can be used in the wet zones? What do I need to do to make it waterproof during installing it? Is there anything I need to do regulary to keep it water-proof? Will it be still water-proof in a 4-5 years?
Hi Anton, yes microcement will be ideal in wet areas. A good quality sealant ( generally solvent based for peace of mind) will ensure the waterproofness of your surfaces. With at least 2 coats of sealants you won't need any specific maintenance for many years.
